Freedom of Speech….?

Monday, 7:30 am. There is a traffic jam in front of Woodcreek High School. Students are craning their necks to see what the hold up is. At the only entrance to the school’s parking lot a mass of people, strangers and teachers, are assembled. At first, the students are excited. They think that the teachers are on strike again. The last time the teachers went on strike the school was shut down for three days. As each student edges closer he or she realizes that there are also six foot by three foot signs with big bold letters and a full color picture below it. The gasps are so loud as each car full realizes that those signs are not the familiar signs of a teacher’s strike but signs of an abortion protest. The protesters were arguing the out come of the court case Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion.
