Yorkshire Terriors

Today’s Yorkshire Terrier is very different for the early Yorkshire Terriers of North England. There are varying accounts of the origins of this breed and its development.


The general appearance of the Yorkshire Terrier is long-coated, coat hanging quite straight and evenly down each side, a parting extending from nose to tail. It is very compact and neat, carriage very upright, conveying an important air. General outline conveying the impression of vigorous and a well-proportioned body.


They are very alert and intelligent animals.


Their head is rather small and flat, not too prominent or round in skull, not too long in muzzle and black nose. Their eyes are medium, dark, sparkling, with sharp intell...
