WW2 Diary Entires

Diary Entry 1.

8/2/1942

Dear diary,

I have now completed my hard training and have now packed my bags. I am now ready to be shipped up to Darwin where I will be assisting in the refueling of all the major ships that come into port. It is so cold of a night lying alone in my bed with the only sounds the hum of the cicadas around.
I wonder how Jeremy is going up in Singapore. He was sent there while I was still in training but I hear that the war is beginning to get very bad up in that area.
