World Problems

The world faces many problems. Some of these problems are starvation, poverty, money, food distribution, and immigration. Garret Hardin gives an answer to these questions, in his essay entitled Life Boat Ethics The Case Against Helping the Poor that came out in the September 1974 issue of Psychology today. Walter W. Benjamin wrote an essay entitled A Challenge to the Eco-Doomsters, which critiques Garret Hardin’s essay and gives very good reasons why Garret’s ideas are inhuman and unjust. Norman Cousin also wrote an essay. Which gives excellent points why Garret Hardin’s ideas are prejudice and ethnocentric his essay is entitled Of Life and Lifeboats. I am very opposed to Garret Hardin’s ideas that he has expressed in his essay. I will explain in my paper why Garret Hardin’s beliefs are not politically correct today.
