Woman can live without man

i read somewhere that a woman can be artificially inseminated with any DNA sample, not just a sperm cell, and so two women could have a baby together. I didn't think much of it at first, but then i realized that this could have a huge effect on the future of the human race. women have two X chromosomes, and men have an X and a Y. women always pass on an X chromosome, while a man has a 50/50 chance of passing either the X or the Y.
