Why We Should Legalize Drugs

In Gore Vidal’s, “Drugs,” (Essays in Context 1970) he states that it’s possible to stop the drug addiction problem in the United States. All you have to do is make every drug available and sell it at cost. Nevertheless most drugs are bad for people to do, yet it seems unlikely that any reasonably sane person will become a drug addict if they know what the addiction is going to be like. On the other hand some people will always become drug addicts just like some people will always become alcoholics, he reports.
