Who wears the crown of disillusionment in our generation?
There is one character that I believe is completely without illusion, and we all know of whom I speak. It is the DKNY Goth. The background behind DKNY Goth is complicated, long, and at times ridiculous. DKNY Goth began to appear in the late seventies, in nightclubs, and parties. Everyone was full of love and happiness except for DKNY Goth. DKNY Goth wasn’t DKNY Goth yet, DKNY Goth was just Goth. Goth dressed entirely in black. Some nights Goth would wear textured black, or maybe, if Goth was feeling particularly happy, a grey shirt. The common motif seen at every appearance was the black, contrasting with white of Goth’s mascara. Not only did Goth wear mascara, but also to highlight the sadness in Goth’s life, Goth wore eyeliner.
