“The only reason my kid set your son on fire is because of what he saw on television!” This is the kind of craze we read about in the papers and see on the news, parents blaming their children’s actions on television. Yes television is an instigator, especially when little children watch it and believe what they see is right. This is why concerned individuals are setting up campaigns trying to stop violence on television, and in turn, stop the violence in everyday life. Violence on television is going to be around for a while. Violent behavior on television sells; it promotes viewers to watch, because viewers enjoy watching others misfortunes.
TV producers are in the business to make money; to make money they have to figure out what audience wants to see. The outcome is violent behavior. People get a kick out of watching people getting blown up, getting beaten to death, bashing someone into a pole, or whatever the case maybe; people love to watch these things. Why d...
