usability

The site was tested by 21 participants each with varying experience with computers. The participants were made up of 10 Males and 11 females. The tasks they were set tested whether they were able to retrieve certain pieces of information from the website and to see if they knew how to upload work to the server as it was a requirement of the course. They were also asked to perform one of the tasks without the use of a mouse to test the sites functionality from a disabled persons point of view. As well as doing the tasks the participants were asked to answer some questions on their previous experience with computers and the Internet and at the end were asked if they had any problems with answering the tasks.

The average time for completing all the tasks was 10Minutes 29 Seconds with a standard deviation of 4Minutes 51 Seconds. The mean completion rate of all the tasks by the participants was 67.46% with a standard deviation of 18.62%. Finally the mean completion rate for each individu...
