Two World Religions

The Postclassical era evolved around 400-1499 or approximately the fifth to the fifteenth century C.E. The Postclassical era begins with the fall of the Roman Empire and lasts until the Mongol invasions and the collapse of the Byzantine Empire. There are four main developments that define the Postclassical era. The first development is the spread of Islam and Arab influence. The second improvement is the spread of civilization to other areas of the globe. The third development is the shift from polytheism to several worldwide religions. The final advancement was a world network. During the Postclassical era three major world religions were formed. The definition of religion is any specific system of belief about god or gods, often involving rituals, a code of ethics, and a philosophy of life. The three key religions in the Postclassical era are Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity.
