Transaction Processing System, Management Information System, and Decision Support System

1. TPS
A Business Transaction Processing System is a system that supports a business in the delivery of its business transactions.
A complete system, comprising both computer hardware and software, that hosts a transaction processing application to perform routine transactions necessary to conduct business.

Tps is a system which performs collection, maintenance and updating of business data, the fundamentals business events that effects the organisation.

2. MIS
A Management Information System is a continuing and interacting structure of people, equipment, and procedures for gathering, analysing, evaluating, and distributing timely and accurate information.

The purpose of Management Information System is to support the management decision-making.

In sales and marketing, Information systems are used to:
• Develop new products and services.
• Determine production and distribution facilities.
• Perform promotion analysis (through advertisement).
