Thunderstorms

Thunderstorm is observed from the ground, but it is totally different picture happening up in the air. Some thunderstorm characteristics such as turbulence, strong wind gusts, heavy rain, hail, lighting, tornadoes, and icing help us understand the hazardous nature of thunderstorms. Thunderstorm is one of the most powerful weather phenomena that have a major impact on aviation industry.
By definition, thunderstorms are a violet atmospheric convection, with uplift, cooling of air, and subsequent cloud formation. With the formation of the cloud, water vapor changes to liquid and/ or frozen cloud particles. As a consequence of that a large release of heat takes over.
