Three Why's of the Russian Revolution

The three whys of the Russian Revolution can be interpreted in different ways through different sources. In examining where they differ in opinion we can gain a greater understanding of history. In this essay I attempt to explain why I feel that for the most part the classroom and text book explanations are similar, however there are indeed specific places where the explanations and opinions differ, with strong differences appearing especially in the third topic.
Pipes brings up many points about the fall of Czarism in Russia. One being that the regime at the time of the fall was not smart enough to accommodate the demands of the working class and the peasants. The people wanted new rights and were not being served their proper share, or so they felt. Pipes also brings up the Czarist state at the time: it was an ancient system with ancient beliefs.
