In many works of literature a character or society changes through the course of actions. This may occur because of an outside presence. In the novel Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, the Ibo society faces major changes and react drastically which affects the overall work through the theme "change is inevitable".
To begin, the Ibo society faces immense changes. The Ibo society was changed after the white man brought his religion and values. For example, when the white man came the tribe no longer thought of twins as an abomination. Also, many of the clan members converted to Christianity.
