The University of Alabama: The Administration’s Way of Cleaning Up a Party School Image

Last year I chose to come to The University of Alabama because of its rich tradition of excellence. I came for many reasons, mostly because of the high academic standards, a twelve time national championship winning football team, and of course, to have a little fun. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I knew I had found my new home. Soon after the year began, The University of Alabama found itself named the number three “party school” in the nation by the Princeton Review. Midway through second semester many students found the college world as they had previous known it to be drastically changed. This was due to the need for the immediate cleaning up of The University’s image.
