The Survivor


Oblivious to the fact that I was nearing that time in your life when the thing last on your mind actually happens to occur, I sat back down in my seat and gazed out the window at the never ending, everlasting, deep blue, dazzling ocean. It was only when we approached the land of leaves ( The Amazon jungle) and the aircraft descended slightly that I realized that I now had a completely new perspective of the Amazon jungle. I could now see under the carpet of leaves and through the branches to a completely new world, creating self-indulgent, thought provoking and bizarre thoughts and ideas.

Suddenly my thoughts and ideas were demolished as the aircraft’s left engine was engulfed by flames. The aircraft began to swoop into a dive, like an eagle diving towards its prey at an unthinkable speed. Putting on my parachute, I had but a few seconds to plan my escape and survive this chaotic, traumatic and life threatening situation.
