The British cabinet minister John Profumo, who was married to the film star Valerie Hobson, was involved into an affair with a Christine Keeler.
She was a 23-year-old showgirl from the London cabaret club who also had a relation with the Soviet attaché Captain Eugene Ivanov.
It was one of the greatest scandals in the popular press. The hole affair went even so far that John Profumo was resigned. The British government was worried because
Profumo could have given important information to the enemy.
Christine Keeler who was the main character in the Profumo scandal has written an autobiography witch is market out with many big peppered accusations.
