The Movie Musical Version of Grease: A Critique

The movie musical that I chose to write about is one that we all know and love, Grease. Almost everyone in America, and probably other countries too can say that that have been caught up in the on screen drama of seeing if these two teenagers, Danny and Sandy, are going to get together. When I was younger, I used to think that I wanted to be a “Pink Lady” when I grew up. And of course you weren’t cool in Junior High and High School unless you knew all of the words to all of the songs! This movie has helped shape part of American Culture because of the music and the issues that are dealt with on screen.
Having seen the production thousands of times on stage and watching the movie thousands of times as well, I’d still have to say that I prefer the stage to the movie.
