The Lord of the Flies

The novel The Lord of the Flies, written by William Gerald Golding, has been a novel of much controversy. A controversy as to whether to ban the book from curriculum in schools, or keep it as a requirement because it contains too much knowledge obtainable by little minds, exists. Although this book may possess some subject-matter little minds might not yet grasp the concept, the novel presents some struggles and disagreements children can learn from, at the right age.
“William Gerald Golding wrote one of the best books of English Literature” (William Golding’s Life, 25). William Golding won the Booker Mc Connel Prize, which exists as the greatest British Literature Prize.
