The Importance of the Caste system For People of the Hindu Society and How Hindus Will be Affected if One or More of the Castes Were to be Removed or Replaced


The Caste System plays a major role in present Hindu society, in the past, and simply serves as the backbone for all people of the Hindu society who want to make a difference in their community through the different castes they are positioned in. It is simply made up of four basic castes (varnas), namely, Brahmins who are made up of priests, Kshatryas who are made up of warriors, Vaishyas who are made up of traders, and Shudras who are made up of laborers. Outside the Caste System is the Untouchables who are considered polluted and can’t be touched since they do jobs such as toilet cleaning and garbage removal which require them to come in contact with bodily fluids.
