The Iliad and the Odyssey, in relation to the wars that are happening right now

The Iliad, one of Homer's most famous works, is all about the Trojan war which started because of three goddesses' pettiness and competition to one another of who has the right to be called "the fairest". They had asked Paris, a TROJAN prince and King Priam's son to a muse. Paris chose aphrodite. After aphrodite promise him any woman he wants. Aphrodite then use her power to persuade Helen, wife of King Menelaus of Sparta and one of the fairest ladies around to go with Paris willingly to Troy. To gain Helen back, King Menelaus called upon Agamemnon, the king of the Myceneans and his very own brother and all of the young heroes of greece to help him get back Helen. Notably among those heroes are Achilles, Patrocolous, Ajax,Odysseus and even Hercules.
