The effect of war on our economy is uncertain. However, historically speaking, war tends to stimulate and improve the American economy. During the first Gulf War, the stock market immediately began to recover. Many economic sectors usually thrive during wartime. Specifically, pharmaceuticals, utilities, food, telephone companies, and other communication companies tend to do very well.
It is uncertain how our current military action in the Middle East will affect the American economy. As always, many analyst and economist have come forward to issue their opinion on this subject. Of course, the opinions are varied....
