The Different Classes of A Midsummer Night’s Dream
There are three main different groups or classes in the book A Midsummer Night’s Dream. These three classes are Upper Class, Walking Class, and Fairies. Out of the three classes the most innocent group is the Walking Class.
The Upper Class in A Midsummer Night’s Dream is made up of ; THESEUS, Duke of Athens; EGEUS, Father to Hermia; LYSANDER, in love with Hermia; DEMETRIUS, in love with Hermia; PHILOSTRATE, Master of the Revels to Theseus; HIPPOLYTA, Queen of the Amazons, betrothed to Theseus; HERMIA, daughter to Egeus, in love with Lysander; HELENA, in love with Demetrius. This class is most represented by drama and politics. For example Egeus goes to Theseus and tells him that his daughter is not following the law, she does not love the man that her father wants her to marry, and he then tells him that he needs to punish his daughter.
