John Procter:

Coward: He never actually confesses to his wife that he has had an affair, she finds out herself. He only confesses that the he knew that the girls were lying when his own interests were at stake for example when they took his wife away to try her for witchcraft. He did not stand up to save his friends, he only stood up for his wife when he needed to, and he could have saved many lives if he had done it before that, like when Goody Osbourne was being hanged.

Short tempered: When Mary warren was speaking that she was an official of the court, and the said “ill official you (takes down the whip hanging there)” For not staying home in the first place. Or when he didn’t stand to be judged by Elizabeth anymore
