The Commonwealth of Nations

Commonwealth of Nations
Is a voluntary association of 54 independent sovereign states, which provide support to each other and work together to reach international aims.
It represents 1.7 billion people of many faiths, races, languages, traditions and levels of economic development. Over half of them are aged 25 or under.

The association has member countries all over the globe, rich and poor, large and small. It includes the world’s largest territory (Canada), the second largest in terms of population (India) and many of the smallest and most re’mote, for example Nauru, the world’s smallest republic. Also Namibia, the world’s driest and most sparsely populated country is a member state.
Form of government:
33 members are republics and 5 have national ‘monarchies on their own. 16 are constitutional monarchies which recognise Queen Elizabeth II as their Head of State.
