The American Revolution


The American Revolution came to be a major historical event for the making of democracy. Gordon Wood, author of the American Revolution explains what the Americans had to go to stay committed to freedom, constitutionalism, equality and the well being of ordinary people. The history shouldn’t b e viewed as a story but as a search for moral lessons that all people could live and be happy with. In this book the author goes through the “birth” and what the people did to make America what it is now. From fighting the British to the Indians, and the making of the constitution, to revising and revising again as the times changes. The revolution marked the start of when men and women (but not until much later) started to become equal.
