TRAGIC HERO- GREATNESS- usually re-ability grandeur
1. The hero, with Shakespeare, is a person of high degree or of public importance or sufferings are of an unusual kind.
2. The tragic hero with Shakespeare, then, need not be good, through generally he is good
3. He should have so much of greatness
TRAGIC FLAW- usually Pride (hamortia) (a grand weakness)
4. Others like Lear, Macbeth are built on the grand scale; and desire, passion or will attains in them a terrible force.
5. It is a fatal gift, but it carries with it a touch of greatness
6. Convulsion which produces suffering and death is never good
