Teen Curfew

The government enacts many laws to protect the citizens of society. One law that the government supports along with the city of Dallas is teen curfews. Teen curfews in the city of Dallas states that teens under the age of sixteen must be in the house during the week by eleven o’clock pm and on the weekends by midnight. If any teen is out past the curfew times stated in the law he or she will be picked up by the police and escorted home to their parents’ house. The parents along with the children will be fined, these fines can be anywhere from fifty dollars to a couple of hundred dollars.
The teen curfew can be seen as something that is definitely positive; it can maintain crime in teens under the age of sixteen. However, this law violates one’s right.
