Sugar Minott is not only a good and popular singer, but he is also a producer and a promoter of new singers and deejays in Jamaica. That night he released this interview for us, where also Triston Palma took part in it.

SUGAR MINOTT: Tell us about the beginning of your career, and when you first start recording.
Yes, Lincoln Sugar Minott, you know, I started out way back in school days, I was about 14 years old. Started like 1969-70 with a group called ‘African Brothers’; with Tony Tuff we were recording for people like Rupie Edwards, Mikren Music, Coxsone Dodd; Wonderful more popular sounds, it was party time. There’s a hit in ‘Torturing’: “Leaders Fathers”. In the 70s in went solo at Studio One, sir Coxsone Dodd studio, the one of Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, all those great art...
