Stress

America’s Number One Health Problem
Stress is a state of tension that is created when a person responds to the demands and pressures that come from external sources, as well as sources that are internally generated. Your source of stress could possibly be from a terrible accident, an imminent deadline, or a first date. Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life; it’s the “wear and tear” our bodies experience as we adjust to our continually changing environment.
There are two different types of stress, Eustress, and Distress. Eustress is a pleasant or curative stress. It is the optimal point at which stress pushes us to give it our all, without negatively hurting our body. It can compel us into action, resulting in a new awareness or an exciting new perspective. Whether that’s writing a report, or giving a presentation, eustress provides us with focus and gives you your competitive edge that will help you thinking quickly and clearly.
