PRESSING SPIRITUAL ISSUES

Issue summarized: The church today is not in line with the Biblical examples given (and I admit I’m spiritually blind in some areas…but this must be addressed in me, how else would I grow?) Everything discussed below ties together.

Hypocritical factor
For the past couple of years I’ve joined with the Christian body in a number of settings. In those gatherings us Christians talk a lot of “talk”. This in and of itself is very important to me. However, I’m becoming increasingly aware that the purpose of “talk” to me is very different than it is for others. For me, the “talk” and the “walk” are inseparable companions! I expect that our “talk” would serve our “walk”, such that our words don’t become merely a clanging symbol, but a means to live out our faith in action and in truth. Bottom line, if talk is only “talk”, than I’ll have nothing to do with it.
