Social Justice is a concept about upholding Human rights. It means that everyoneis entitled to "basic human needs", regardless of "superficial" differences such as economic disparity, class, gender, race, ethnicity, citizenship, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, or health. This includes the eradication of poverty, illiteracy and equality of opportunity for healthy personal and social development.

A social injustice currently taking place in the world is the runnning of Sweatshops by large clothing companies such as Nike and Gap..A sweatshop is a workplace where workers are subject to exploitation. Workers Deal with sufficient wage or benefits, poor working conditions and unnecessary discipline, such as verbal and physical abuse.
