Intriguing Character of Henry IV Part One


In the play of Henry IV, Part One, William Shakespeare introduces readers to the character of Sir John Falstaff. Falstaff plays an important role in this particular Shakespeare creation. Falstaff stimulates readers and produces various emotions in retrospect to his individualist approach to life. It is clearly evident that Sir John Falstaff is the most interesting character in the play due to his intriguing qualities composed of imperfection, humour and intelligence.

Falstaff is a character filled with fault and imperfection. He is deceiving, cowardice and a theif; all of these qualities can be extracted from many aspects and situations during the play.
