How is the setting important to the story? Mention time, place and situation.

I think the setting in the short story The Sniper is very important part of the story. It sets the scene, and the clear descriptions of the roof-tops are required. Without these it would be hard to imagine how the sniper dodges from bullets and hides behind the chimneys and parapet. The entire story takes place from the roof-top so it is vital that we know quite a bit about it.
