Problem: The problem is to find out if foreign variables have any affect whatsoever on the activity of enzymes.



Hypothesis: If more disks soaked in catalase are added to the test tubes, then the enzymes will be activated faster because catalase promotes reaction between other chemicals, causing a faster reaction to occur.


Procedure: A) 1. Gather catalase solution and filter paper disks. 2. Place four
catalase soaked disks inside of a test tube. 3. Add 10 mL of H2O2
into the test tube without it touching the disks. 4. Plug up the test
tube and put it into the pan without letting the H2O2 touch the
disks. 5. Put a 50 mL graduated cylinder on top of the opening.
6. Turn test tube 180 degrees so disks mix with H2O2 and absorb the
