Romeo and Juliet - It Could Be Worse

When the fight between Romeo and Tybalt had ended, Romeo fled to the friar’s cell. Romeo acted like a woman and cried about his situation. He even went as far as trying to kill himself with a sword. The friar then exploded into a lecture to Romeo about how things could have been worse and why he should be thankful for the way things turned out.
The first reason was about Juliet and her love for Romeo. He had a lovely wife waiting for him that went without her parents’ consent to marry him. She could’ve been in a lot of trouble if someone had found out and had told the Capulets but she did this anyway because she wanted to be with Romeo so badly. Within a couple hours of marriage Romeo killed Tybalt. Romeo thought that Juliet would hate him forever since he had just killed her relative, but he was wrong. When the nurse arrived at Friar Laurence’s cell she had a gift to Romeo from Juliet. It was a ring from his new wife, whom he had just married that very day. Wh...
