RnJ vs MND

The two plays of William Shakespeare, “Romeo and Juliet” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” both share some easily noticeable similarities and some not so noticeable similarities even though one is a tragedy and the other is a comedy. If you look hard enough you may be able to notice those similarities, for example, Both plays have a pair of lovers with another male character chasing the woman in the pair. In Romeo and Juliet’s case there is Paris who wants to win Juliet’s love and in Midsummer Night’s Dream there is Demetrius chasing after Hermia who is in love with Lysander. In this similarity is another similarity, if you have read both plays then you may have noticed that in both plays, the parents of the woman in the pair of lovers disapproves of her seeing the person she loves but instead want her to marry the man who is chasing her as mentioned in the previous statement.
