Dear President White:
I recently received my son’s reading list for his freshman year. I have looked at all the books on the list. There is one book in particular I do not wish my child read. The book is Unsettling America: An Anthology of Contemporary Multicultural Poetry edited by Maria Mazziotti Gillan and Junnifer Gillan. While I was looking at the book I found many poems in specifically two sections (Performing and Re-Envisioning) that I believe would harm my son’s definition of America.
