Racisim The famous evangelist Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. heroically climbed the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in the mid 1900’s and proclaimed “I have a dream..†to the eager and relentless crowd below. He then explained that he had a dream of a world where people lived in harmony with one another despite their differences in race, economic situation, and/or beliefs. The world was highly segregated then and segregationist in fears that others may follow quickly shut down people who spoke of things such as Dr.King.
