I do not believe in some of the writers in their opinions, but then some of the points they have do make sense. If you really sit down and think about it, is there such a thing as privacy anymore? I really think not. Mark Costello, Michael Moynihan, and Alan Westin spoke in the passage “The Searchable Soul†and their conversation is as follows: “I’ve seen studies showing that something like 20 or 30 million Americans think that they’ve been wiretapped in a given year.†(Costello, 637) “When in fact the actual number is about 2,000.†(Moynihan, 637) “That’s the actual number of warrants issued under federal and state court orders. It would not be true to say that that’s the number of wiretaps. There are a lot of illegal ones by private detectives, for business espionage, etc.†(Westin, 637) How am I supposed to admit we have any privacy after...
