Personal Response to Emily Dickinson’s “The Brain...”

This poem may be summarized very simple, so I think. The author is letting us know here that the brain is a main issue in our lives. Ms. Dickinson is implying how the brain has a “wider” and “deeper” depth than one cannot even begin to imagine. God has given us a brain to make us think and weigh things as we go through life.
Now, why would anyone want to read a poem about the brain, was my first reaction to this poem by Emily Dickinson. It certainly did not immediately grasp my attention, but as I studied it a bit more,...
