I am doing guns do not kill people; people kill people. Taken into a complete literal sense this is a false statement. Morally as we all know it is true. Guns kill people but a person is pulling the trigger, thus making it a person killing with a gun. Three reasons why I believe this sentence is true is most violent crimes are gun related, the gun doesn't have its own mind, and the society we live in it doesn't even matter anymore. First off, I will revise that sentence because no matter what way you put it now it is somewhat false. So I looked up the definition kill, and replaced it, as it should be as murder. To kill is to cause death in any way. And to murder is to kill unlawfully, often with deliberate planning. (Webster's New Revised Dictionary) So I will be revising it to "Guns do not murder people; people murder people." Kill and murder are not interchangeable terms. Especially not in this sentence.
