pearl in the scarlet letter

pearl serves as a symbol in the novel "the scarlet letter". She was born as a symbol of adultery of Hester and Dimmesdale, so she is destined to be an outcast of the puritan society.
At the end of the novel, she leaves her society. The end agrees with the role of Pearl, since she never belongs to her community.
Most of her characteristics show that Pearl could be a real child. For example, Pearl's language expresses a sign of a child prodigy...
