Othello



Othello was a play written by the famous playwright William Shakespeare in 1603-1604, the exact date is not known. The first performance of this play was held at the Saint James Banquet Hall on November 1, 1604. During this time especially in England, racism played a big part in the community. It was said the Queen Elizabeth was racist, which also played a big part within the community. William Shakespeare wrote this play to show people that no matter what your race is; all people are created equal.
Othello was a play that was well known as one of the most powerful tragedies during the 1600 era. This play was based on several main topics such as racism, jealousy and romance. Othello was a black moor that had fallen in love with the Senator’s daughter, Desdemona.
