This dream is both helpful and harmful to them. Having dreams is always good thing, and for Lennie, this dream served as motivation for him to be well behaved. For George, this dream is also his goal for being more than a migrant worker, because George’s character isn’t really someone who enjoys working for other people, I think being his own boss would be good for George.
