In the actions of three characters in Of Mice and Men, desire is a stronger force than Responsibility. Lennie is a desire driven character. Curley's wife is a character who is driven by desire. Curley is also driven by desire.
Lennie lives his life as a desire driven character. He sometimes cannot control himself. Lennie grabbed a girl's pretty red dress, and couldn't let go. Lennie likes to touch soft, or nice things, and grabbed her dress. She then screamed, ran away, and accused Lennie of rape. Then, Lennie and George had to escape from Weed, and it was a close call. All the men in Weed chased after them with dogs and horses. They had to hide in an irrigation ditch all day until it was safe to leave. Lennie sometimes doesn’t think before he acts, which causes a problem in his life. He brought a puppy into the bunkhouse, even though George said not to. George had told Lennie that he shouldn’t bring the puppies into the bunkhouse because they...
