Nora: The Child

Hendrix Ibsen’s A Doll House written in 1879 portrays a woman thought to be a weak, overcome the social role. Nora, a young women and her family are of the middle class, which maybe raising. Nora in many ways acts like a child and as a result of that is treated like a child. Nora has only one crucial fault, she is constantly tells lies. Her lies is what makes her seem to be weak, but in time they will make her grown into a stronger person, changing the role that has been placed upon her.
Nora is a young woman and the mother of ‘three beautiful children.’ She is also the wife of Trovald Helmer who has just been promoted to being the new bank manger. Nora, knowing about the promotions goes and spends money as if they already have it. The money does not come till the New Year. As she comes in with all the presents she just bought, Trovald calls her a ‘spendthrift.’ To prove that, he gives into her childish ways and gives her more money than need to buy a Christmas tree.
