My Life

At the beginning of term 2, 2003, our year 11 drama class began working towards a final production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In this process we went through all sorts of things, like, research, auditions, play building, blocking, rehearsals, characterisation, choreography, costumes, lighting and set design. We experienced up and downs as you would with any performance.

For about 8 weeks we spent time on everything involved in the process. For a few weeks we spent time in the library researching anything we could about Shakespeare’s time. Things like costumes and characterisation. We then used these to produce our play. We already had the script written, it was a short 20 minute version of the real performance.
