My Creation

Growing up a loner in a small Oregon town has proven to drive my need for creativity, at that point it was neither a passion nor love but a need to escape. My only friends were my thoughts, a pencil and paper. I spent most of my adolescence in my room depressed, but creating art and poetry took me away from that reality. I had no need for drugs nor alcohol; I found my high in strong feelings and imagination. Later in life I discovered that being creative was my passion and the only thing that truly brought me happiness. The things I love about creativity are the times I spend with myself thinking of a new reality, being able to work with different tools that guide me through the step it takes to get that reality across and experiencing people’s reactions towards what I have created.
