MY BOUDOIR

New Orealeans is not a land where sleighs and snowy frosts fashion the holiday landscape. All depends on the caprices of the gulf forever breathing across coastal marshes, and late December is more likely smudged with frogs and mere remumors of chill. In the ancient gardens that cushion the city, palmettos stay lush through winter, and the leaves on the magnolias remain glossy green. here there are more old houses than most places in America, houses small and large that have seen it all yet somehow survived by working their magic on successive owners...
